Flyin Phosphorus is a 68-pound brindle boy who’s very curious and loves pets and ear scratches. He likes to be with people and is very well mannered.  He may come off as timid, but don’t let him fool you!  He knows what he wants but will listen.  Flyin Phosphorous wants to meet all the dogs in the neighborhood no matter their size and will stop to look and say hello and be friendly to each one, so he’d probably be good with a dog friend.  He also wants to meet all the kids in the neighborhood too and seems friendly with calm children  Cat trainable, seems friendly with them and may leave them alone but curious to follow them when they run.  Squirrels he watches with interest and I think he would chase although still stays by our side with coaching.

Flyin Phosphorous is food motivated and seems easy to train, but he’s still learning. He has great walk etiquette, and overall seems very chill, as not much phases him. With unfamiliar things, instead of barking, he freezes and looks around, but not for long. He is always ready to move and explore new sights and sounds and of course smells, making him a good city dog. So far, he has had no trouble with stairs, and seems to enjoy the car.  Pretty quiet too unless he is hungry or needs to go out.  Overall he is adjusting well to retired life and we think would he would be a great guy to have in anybody’s home.

He’ll be available for approved adopter visits starting 01/16/2021.
