Hi! My name is Franky Bananas and I slipped into retirement a few days ago. My foster parents have been showing me the ropes, and they tell me that I’m getting the hang of things. I have mastered the short stairs, and am working really hard on the longer ones – I do far better when there is kibble involved. The hardwoods have been kind of fun for me, seeing as I like slipping and all, but I am starting to get the hang of those, too.

I have really enjoyed just about everyone I’ve met, canine and human alike. In fact, for my first weekend my foster family was hosting a friend of theirs – another greyt grey – and I think she’s smitten with me. Of course, I’ve been pouring on the charm, and it is kind of hard to resist my red and white patches, and my long, curled-at-the-end tail. I am a fantastic walker, and my foster dad tells me I am patient and gentle, especially when my new friend dawdles on our walks together.

I really can’t be bothered with noises, and nothing seems to startle me – I’m kinda cool as a cucumber like that. (Did you see what I did there with the produce theme?). I did notice one rabbit in our travels, and while I used that as an opportunity to show off my beautiful ears, that was about all he was worth.

I’ve had a little bit of out of crate time, and I think I have mastered the classic greyhound pose – body on the pillow; head on the ground. And boy do I look adorable. Check out some of my poses below.

I hope to meet you at one of the upcoming Open Houses!

XO, Franky B.

He will be available for approved adopters visits starting 05/11/18.
