Hot Dog is a tall, leggy, young boy.  He started his race training but quickly decided the relaxed life of retirement was for him!  He has never raced.  He is very affectionate and really wants to be where the people are. He walks nicely on a loose leash.  Hot Dog is quiet in his crate, but will whine when he needs to go out and when it is meal time.
Hot Dog is unsure about some of the new things he has experienced since he arrived here. He occasionally needs a little encouragement to keep him going when he is not completely comfortable with a new situation (or, for example, when we have to walk by that outdoor grill with the big, black, scary plastic cover over it).  But with time and patience he is learning about his new world and becoming more comfortable in it.  In fact, he now explores the entire main level of his foster home with ease, including the areas with hard surface floors!
Less than a month ago Hot Dog was living on a farm in Oklahoma. Now this young guy has come to the big city and is looking for a forever family with the patience to let him slowly acclimate to all the city sights and sounds. Are you the patient “teacher” Hot Dog is looking for?  Hot Dog is available now for approved adopter visits.
