Ingram, racing name JA’s Ingram, is a petite 51lb black female who never raced, deciding retirement is the best career choice. She is a loving, friendly, curious, active girl and vigilant of everything going on around her. She has a sweet disposition and loves being with her person. She gets along well with the resident greyhound.

Ingram loves going for walks and generally has good leash manners. She can be vocal and excited when seeing other dogs on walks and is less reactive (and sometimes unreactive) when it’s a dog she’s seen several times before. Sometimes she’s cautious about unfamiliar sights or sounds (which tends to happen more at night). She has a high prey drive and gets excited when seeing wildlife such as rabbits, foxes, moths, grasshoppers, and centipedes. Ingram loves meeting new people and sometimes smiles with her upper teeth showing.

Some of Ingram’s favorite activities include getting head and body rubs, stealing socks and shoes, dragging the Cuddlepillar around the house, watching TV (she had a lot of commentary about the Subaru commercial with dogs), tossing her toys around, monitoring the neighbors from the window, scoping out the kitchen counters, and going for walks.  She will do best in a home without cats or small dogs. She is a pro at going up and downstairs, learned the down command quickly, and hardwood floors have not been a problem for her. She is food motivated which will help with her training.

Ingram can be vocal during the day when in her crate when her people are around. She has a medium energy level.  During our of crate time, Ingram likes to snooze on a dog bed, getting up occasionally to get some ear rubs or to look out the windows. She sleeps through the night and currently wakes up around 7 am. She whines when ready to get up for the day but can learn to sleep in later.

Ingram is currently available for approved adopter visits.
