Well… I may not be TV-star Collie, but I am a star in my new retirement gig.  For those who may not know, I’m a 3.7-year-old girl who raced 79 times in FL and have decided to retire and move north to enjoy my new life.  I have also started a new Disc Jockey gig at my foster home.  The “rap” of my tail in my create is music to anyone’s ears and shows how excited I am to be with my foster family.  My human foster sisters now call me L-Dawg, plus they said I really don’t look like a Collie – much prettier.  I’m learning all about stuffies, and these great dog beds – boy are these beds comfortable.  I can just totally chill on those beds and get rubbed all day long.  I enjoy the outdoors and my foster parents say I’m walking well on lead.  I will tell you that I do have to be re-directed when I see those pesky squirrels.  They can really drive a girl crazy.  My instincts just kick in and I must stop and stare, but I never pull.  I’m working on it, and I listen when my fosters tell me to “just leave it.”  I really enjoy meeting new humans and canines alike, even those silly small dogs.  Some are so small I’m not sure how they ever raced?  I’ve been told cats are not an option for me.  Guess they remind me of my past, oh well.  Usually a quiet girl, I have been known to perform vocally if I feel I’m not getting enough attention.  In fact, my symphony has been quite impressive at times!  I’d love to meet you at an Open House soon.  Until then, please follow me on Instagram @fosteringgreytness_gw.   She’ll be available for approved adopter visits on 05/24/19.Lassie (racing name Mamas Last Word)
