Olympia, racing name Oshkosh Olympia, is a gorgeous 2-year-old fawn girl with the cutest curly tail. Despite being named for the location of the ancient Olympic Games, she decided competitive running is not her bag. She left the track after just 2 races and set her sights on winning the retired greyhound triathlon, which consists of snoozing, snacking, and snuggling events. With a little positive reinforcement-based training, she thinks she could also be a medal contender for loose leash walking in a relatively straight line, sitting on command, and politely greeting humans and dogs.

Olympia is quiet enough to live in an apartment or townhome but she gets easily startled by loud noises outdoors and would prefer a quiet neighborhood. She gets along well with the resident greyhounds in her foster home and likes meeting new people and getting pets. She gives frequent kisses and loves to cuddle. Olympia mastered the stairs (up and down) on her first try and has no issues with hardwood or tile floors. She is cat-trainable.

Olympia is currently available for approved adopter visits and is interviewing potential coaches; apply today if you think you’ve got what it takes to guide this elite athlete into her new career as a beloved pet.
