Oya Redneck Girl is a beautiful fawn, petite, two year old bundle of love and enthusiasm.  She is very friendly and affectionate and is a huge fan of squeaky toys. Her favorite moments are squeaking her toys with abandon while romping about the house and in the back yard. She will even chase a tennis ball and retrieve – especially if it squeaks.  She absolutely loves pets and having her ears scratched and is a loving, sweet companion. She greets all new people with enthusiasm but quickly calms down once she is able to say hello.

Oya Redneck Girl does not mind her crate and is quiet throughout the day and the night. She is a good eater and she has enjoyed all of the treats she has tried, especially banana. She has mastered the ‘down’ command and sits quietly while her dinner is prepared and will sit for her meals when you ask her to.  She is also patient with her teeth being brushed and quite enjoys her pedicure while her nails are dremeled.

Oya Redneck Girl is confident and shows no concern with big trucks or bicycles that pass her by though she is unsure of large dogs.  She is still learning to walk on a leash and still gets very excited on her walks so she is working hard to go a little at a time because she really loves to be outside. She will need someone who is patient enough to work with her as she learns to adapt to new stimuli, especially new dogs and squirrels.  She doesn’t know stairs yet but she is not afraid to try and will likely learn fast.

She gets along beautifully with her greyhound foster brother and would do well either as an only dog or with another greyhound. She lives with two teenagers who absolutely adore her and she loves them in return.

She is now available for approved adopter visits.
