Wikipedia describes a Kraken as a legendary gigantic sea creature that dwells off the coasts of Norway and Greenland. Our Kraken is a large land-based greyhound who dwells in the DC metro area. He’s a big, sweet boy who loves being around his people. Enjoys meeting new people on walks or visitors at his foster home, hoping to get ear scritches. If you sit down for a few minutes he will come over and snuggle his head in your lap waiting for head and ear rubs. Kraken does not do well around small children and will need to be in a home without young kids.
He gets along great with the dogs in his foster home and previously lived with a small dog. He could care less about the cats he’s currently living with. He happily runs into his crate to get his meals and treats, and sleeps through the night in his crate without a peep.
Kraken is a low energy guy who is more of a follower than a leader. He occasionally is worried about new noises and sights, but quickly calms down. He is not a big fan of vacuum cleaners. Kraken is relearning how to walk on wood/laminate floors and has made good progress but still gets scared at times. With patience and TLC he will gain more confidence over time.
Kraken is waiting to find his forever home with someone who has lots of time to rub his ears and watch him sleep on his dog bed. Could that be you?!
