Hank, racing name L’s Dinger, is a 6.4 year old handsome brindle boy who retired after 84 races. He is very friendly, sweet, curious, confident, and loves being with his people. He follows his foster mom around the house and likes to look out windows to check up on outside activity. A big leaner and fan of getting lots of pets and ear scritches. His energy level is low to medium.

Hank loves his walks and has fairly good leash manners. He likes to lead on walks and will pull some when he sees squirrels and deer; he quickly refocuses on the walk after passing by any interesting wildlife. He does not seem to be bothered by suburban street traffic and noises. Hank gets along wonderfully with the resident greyhound and does well around medium to larger dogs; he has not been face-to-face with any small dogs yet. He has also done well around older kids.

Hank is a BIG foodie and loves his meals and treats. Which is very helpful when teaching him commands. He has learned the down command and is attentive/responsive to verbal corrections. He is a champ going up and down stairs and walking on hardwood/laminate floors.

Hank is vocal intermittently when left alone during the day; he’s generally quiet when his foster mom returns home. He sleeps through the night with some occasional whining. He has not paid much attention to the dog toys and is more interested in getting attention from his person and taking long naps on a comfy dog bed.  He is a sweet, well-mannered guy who is hoping to find his furever home ASAP!

Please check back for updates as he settles into his foster home. Hank is available for approved adopter visits.

Retired Greyhound from America – adoption fee $500.
