Knox, racing name Braska Fort Knox , is a graduate of  The Greyhound Inmate ExperienceTGIE places retired racing greyhounds in the care and supervision of specially selected and trained inmates of a correctional institution.  The greyhounds and inmates engage in a 10-week training program.  The greyhounds transition from racer to pet.  The inmates experience unconditional love and learn to trust, be patient, and become compassionate.  A wonderful Win-Win adventure.

Knox is a gorgeous 81lb red fawn boy. He had a strong racing career with a total of 126 races, and will be turning 6 this year. He is the definition of a gentle giant. Quiet and sweet, Knox is low energy and prefers to spend his time snoozing. He’s hardly made any noise in the foster home and has shown to have great house manners.

His leash manners are also excellent. He walks right by your side, with no pulling or weaving, and doesn’t seem overly interested in people or animals walking by. He is very food motivated, and you’ll often find him performing a “sit” in random spots if it looks like you might possibly have a treat for him.

Knox loves some good head scratches and will put all his head weight onto your hand, leg, chest — whatever happens to be under his chin. He goes with the flow, but tends to be reserved about it — he’s cautiously curious.

Is this long-legged beauty the right boy for you?
