Lady Belle, racing name Extravagant Lady, is a beautiful 4-year-old light brindle girl who just moved from Ireland to find her forever family in the USA! Lady Belle is a bigger female; her racing weight was 70.5 lbs. She is a reserved, curious, low energy gal and very interested in what’s going on around her, checking it all out.
Lady Belle sleeps through the night with no issues and usually wakes up around 7:30am, ready to go out for a potty break and get breakfast. She is also typically quiet when left alone during the day. Lady is definitely a foodie….loves her meals and even more so her snacks. Easy to direct when a snack is involved. She plays with stuffie toys occasionally and likes to chew on a good Nyla Bone or shank bone. She knows how to navigate stairs and hardwood floors.
Lady Belle enjoys walks and has good leash manners. She is very interested in cats and wildlife. She notices people she sees on walks (without other dogs) and calmly walks by them. Her interest in the foster home resident cat has decreased some in just a week. She gets along wonderfully with the two resident greyhounds. She is generally fine with other dogs she sees from a distance, but has gotten excited at times when seeing other dogs closer up. This behavior will most likely improve with time. During a daytime walk she saw a fox that was fairly close (and following us) — she was interested but did not have any other reaction to it.
Lady Belle is initially reserved in her connection and affection with a new home. However, it has taken only a little over a week for her to decide she wants pets and affection from her person and to give some well earned kisses. This is a girl who will take a little time to transition, to feel safe and comfortable in her forever home and blossoming over time.
