Manny, racing name KB’s Mystic Man, was selected to participate in The Greyhound Inmate Experience. TGIE places retired racing greyhounds in the care and supervision of specially selected and trained inmates of a correctional institution. The greyhounds and inmates engage in a 10-week training program. The greyhounds transition from racer to pet. The inmates experience unconditional love and learn to trust, be patient, and become compassionate. A wonderful Win-Win adventure.
Manny is a beautiful and calm 5-year-old who retired after running 132 races. He is enjoying his new retired life and is learning about his new surroundings. He loves to play with his toys, including bringing them to his human for a game of catch and taking them with him on his walks through the neighborhood. He walks well without any pulling and settles easily when out of his crate. He loves to rest his head on your lap or chest to have his ears massaged and even gives little kisses.
