Taylor, racing name TS Taylor Swift, was selected to participate in The Greyhound Inmate Experience. TGIE places retired racing greyhounds in the care and supervision of specially selected and trained inmates of a correctional institution. The greyhounds and inmates engage in a 10-week training program. The greyhounds transition from racer to pet. The inmates experience unconditional love and learn to trust, be patient, and become compassionate. A wonderful Win-Win adventure.
Taylor, racing name TS Taylor Swift!, is a 2-1/2-year-old dark brindle girl. She just got “paroled” (she prefers “graduated”) from TGIE. She is an affectionate and playful girl who was known in the program for her friendliness to every person and dog, her fondness for treats, her quick mastery of commands, and for giving everyone “Taylor kisses.”
She walks well on leash, sleeps through the night, and is fine with the resident greyhound. She sometimes startles when hearing new sounds on walks, but is quickly learning to Shake It Off. When you meet her, you’ll probably say You Belong to Me!
Taylor graduated on 3/29 from The Greyhound Inmate Experience and will be available for approved adopter visits soon. Please check back for updates as she settles into her foster home.
