Spunky, racing name WW Spunky, is a beautiful brindle 2-year-old boy who retired after 31 races. Spunky is off to a happy start in retirement. The whole wide world is amazing and needs to be throughly investigated by sight, by scent, and by sound. He is learning leash manners. At the moment, walks consist of lots of zigzagging, the better to check everything out.
In the house, he hangs out in his crate without complaint. One evening he started barking, likely because of sirens passing by, and ended with an adorable rooooooo.
He is learning to lay down before his meals. Spunky has an excellent sit, which he is learning to do on command. His appetite is good. He is very fond of the Trader Joe’s peanut butter dog cookies. Check back for more updates as this fine young boy eases into retirement.
